Wow... Ashley Todd is a real piece of shit...

For those of you who don't know who Ashley Todd is, you can check out the source link below for some Google news stories about her...

The quick and dirty summary:

Ashley Todd is a McCain supporter and campaign volunteer from Pittsburgh, PA. Apparently she felt that the McCain camp really needed some help with their image, and fabricated a story about an Obama supporter mugging her, and then upon realizing that she was a McCain supporter then beat her and proceeded to "rape her into unconsciousness."

None of this is or was true. She beat mutilated her own face in order to substantiate the claims, and later was found out to be a fraud at which point she was arrested.

This is a picture of what she did to herself:

All I have to say about this trick is "wow, what in the fuck were you thinking you stupid piece of shit?"

I guess what I really wonder is why people get so out of control when it comes to politics? Everyone is up on their soap box talking about "vote for change" and "I promise this..." and "I promise that...."

What I've noticed in the almost 30 years that I've been alive is that NOBODY who runs for office actually does exactly what they say. The United States will continue to run regardless of who is in the oval office, and the people of this country will pretty much do what they want regardless of the laws made or the changes imposed upon us...

I dunno, maybe it's because I live in Washington state (which isn't the end of the earth, but you can sure see it from here...) and we are a bit more removed than other states (taking exception only to Alaska) and we kind of just do what we want here.... I guess really I'm just hopeful that we won't see too much fallout here regardless of who wins this presidential race.

Obviously I know who I'm voting for, and who I want to win... but when it comes down to picking between two people you cannot trust, the lesser of two evils is always the way to go, but also doesn't make me feel like I (or any other individual) has all that much control in how this country is run, we only have control over how we choose to react to how it is run.

Why China will never win...

I always thought it was pretty obvious why even though China has numbers, and I guess it is true that they have more people than the United States has bullets.... that if for some reason the U.S. and China went to war, why they would lose...

We won't talk about how they treat their people, and the fact that "free" people will fight much harder and with more dedication than "captive" people can ever hope to imagine...

We won't talk about how they limit the number of children that each family can have... and how they are all about looks and hiding what's really going on behind the scenes...

What we will talk about is the source link below, which speaks directly to their food/nutrition situation....

An excerpt:

"BEIJING — Nearly 6,000 Chinese babies remain hospitalized with kidney problems resulting from milk powder adulterated with the industrial chemical melamine, the Health Ministry said.

Six of the children were in serious condition, the ministry said in a statement posted on its Web site late Wednesday.

The government has been trying to contain the fallout after baby formula contaminated with melamine was blamed for causing the deaths of four infants and sickening about 54,000 other children in mainland China."

If your kidneys don't work, your body can't be cleaned. Hell, we could drop some crazy nasty bomb on them that attacked their immune systems, and anyone with a kidney weakness could automatically be counted as a statistic before the "device" were dropped. Everyone else will have kidney issues from primary/first exposure, and then second exposure would take care of the rest.

Morbid? Yes. Realistic? You had better damn well believe it.

Go ahead and think about that China, especially around the next time you are thinking about painting your toys with lead-based paint and then sending it over here, or even better the next time one of your disgruntled factory workers wants to shove some dirty pornography into a children's toy packaging...

Fuckers.

Gun control laws changing soon?

The source link below will bring up what I thought was an interesting read, especially since it has to do with a very pivotal decision that could be made in the near future here.

Anytime the supreme court officially "considers" something, they are forced to make an end all be all decision about it at the end. That's why I think it's a bit unfortunate that they are "considering" anything about gun control, I would prefer the laws stay where they are on that topic. However, the court has not conclusively interpreted the Second Amendment (most commonly known as the "right to bear arms") since its ratification in 1791.

I think we are in a good place with gun control. You can still get a gun fairly easy if you aren't a criminal... and if you are a criminal, even easier to get one (unless you go to the store or something). Assault weapons are banned, which makes sense.. you can't walk down the street with a loaded rifle. You can get a concealed pistol licence which allows you to carry a loaded handgun on your person. I think these laws are great, mainly because they make us feel safe, and they are a nice compromise.

Now, I think we can all agree that no amount of law-making is going to stop a real criminal from getting his hands on a gun. An idiot? Sure, they won't ever get one if they have a record, as they shouldn't... Every time you hear about some really fucked up gun accident, I will bet anyone that the story involved an idiot of some kind... well duh, right?

Another item that caught my eye was this: "Does that make it unreasonable for a city with a very high crime rate... to say 'No handguns here?'"

Well, I was doing some thinking on that statement, and it seems to me that handgun's should be REQUIRED by all law abiding, tax paying citizens in high crime areas. I challenge any stupid fuck wad to cross the line with me when I have a gun or three in my house locked and loaded.

...oh right, back to the story...

So, this was all sparked by the handgun ban which Washington D.C. has in effect for people within the "district/city limits" or whatever you want to call it... basically you can't take a handgun into D.C. You can't have it on you, at home, in a box, etc. No hand guns in the area. Rifles are allowed, but must be unloaded and dissembled or bound by a trigger lock.... which definitely brings into question what the point of having that rifle as a method of home defense is as it is so obviously not in a condition where it could be used quickly.

So really, this is about Washington D.C. and whether or not they are preventing people in that area from being able to protect themselves... which of course rolls up to a full review of the Second Amendment.

How very nervous this makes me...

Now, I know that some of my dearest friends don't like guns. My mom definitely doesn't, and I can respect that. I don't think anyone who is afraid of a gun or what it can do should own one. You have to be confident, calm and reasonable when using a handgun, and some people just cannot be that way. There are rules to handling and using them, and in a perfect world... everyone would learn those rules and follow them. I am someone who follows rules that are of such a serious nature, of such a nature that some one's life could be forfeit should I get lazy or stupid. But, the few out there who do not follow the rules, always seem to fuck it up for the rest of us huh?

I dunno... just my $0.02...

An interesting spin on the events that led up to WW II

I thought the linked story was interesting, mainly because it doesn't seem that very many people acknowledge the possibility that someone could have possibly "provoked" Hitler to do what he did with the Nazi war machine.

If you check the article linked via the "source" link at the bottom of this post, you will see a fairly old news article which talks about "The Jewish Declaration of War on Nazi Germany - The Economic Boycott of 1933."

World War II started as two separate conflicts, the first being in Asia in 1937, the second being in Europe around 1939.

In or around 1933 however, the general sentiment in the air was to give Hitler his space and to also play nice with him (mainly because nobody really knew what he was going to do next, or when he was going to stop trying to take over Europe).

Wouldn't it be a sad irony if in fact one group of Jewish people caused another group of Jewish people to have to go through one of the most, if not the most tragic episode of ethnic cleansing this world has ever known? I guess this just goes to show that it really is a very small world after all.

Why do some people have blue eyes you ask?

Holy fucking shit!!! I just happen to have the answer in the form of a news article posted on MSN...

From the story:

"From this we can conclude that all blue-eyed individuals are linked to the same ancestor," Eiberg said. "They have all inherited the same switch at exactly the same spot in their DNA."

........

"The question really is, 'Why did we go from having nobody on Earth with blue eyes 10,000 years ago to having 20 or 40 percent of Europeans having blue eyes now?" Hawks said. "This gene does something good for people. It makes them have more kids."

Hah! I'll definitely second that one! Blue eyed ladies are definitely hot, although I've noticed that I tend to gravitate toward the brown eye color.... not sure why that is exactly... maybe I'll let you know when I figure it out.

Umm... yeah right...

So I ran across this story on MSN and thought to myself "wow, a vending machine for pot... how awesome would that be?"

Then I actually read the story... and low and behold... the "creator" of this drug pushing appliance actually says:

"You have kids that want to get high and that's not what marijuana is for," Robert Miko said. "It's to medicate."

Ummm, dude... shut the fuck up because you are wrong. You have people that want to get high, period. Some of them happen to have an ailment that allows them to do it legally.

Oh, and as far as your ideas on "medication" being something that requires a physical ailment, I suggest you open a book and read up on anti-anxiety and anti-depression meds... you fucking hack.

Is our food supply at risk?

I read this story from slate.com (see the source link below) which poses a theory about why the cattle in the UK is so prone to catching so many wild and crazy diseases (mad cow, foot and mouth, blue tongue, etc.).

The article points out a couple of key points, like the fact that the UK has the busiest airport in the world, Heathrow Airport. There are more international flights connecting through this airport than any other in the world. This causes a "disease melting pot" to coin a phrase that I just made up....

Anyhow, this combined with the fact that airplane food waste is often "re-processed" into animal feed (I didn't know this at all). When there happens to be a disease on one plate of food, or in one garbage bag from one plane... it is then mixed in with the other containers thus contaminating the entire batch....

I don't know about you, but this reminds me of the fiasco in Germany around post WWII when the Germans couldn't afford fertilizer for their crops so in certain cases they resorted to fertilization with human excrement. Not the best idea... there is a reason our body gets rid of that waste, and it's probably not too smart to put it back in.

Check out the source link for some interesting pieces of info... (if I haven't spoiled any of them for you) and then post some comments below to let everyone know what you think.... or to let "the man" know that you are fed up and you aren't going to take it anymore...

Man, I always knew the Garden State was shady...

I just read the linked story on CNN, and I think I saw it rotating through DIGG as well. Apparently 11 people have been arrested as part of a corruption ring involving the Pleasantville school district.

The story indicates that the federal investigation began in mid-2006 upon evidence of some corruption in the system as related to the aforementioned school district. I guess they didn't have to dig too terribly deep to find school council members accepting bribes as well as some legislature members and mayors.

WTF.

I'll be the first to say that I understand the principals of "quid-pro-quo" very well, in fact I think the idea definitely has a place in our world... just not when it involves government.

This isn't really very good at all...

Well, when the government of an extremely capitalist nation asks it's lender population to "play nice and offer people an out" it's not a good thing.

I'm sure it sounds great to most, but in reality it means that our government is worried about our cash flow (yes of course it's more technical than that, but really sometimes summarizing is the appropriate thing to do, so for anyone that wants to try and correct me, go fuck yourself, if you aren't from the federal reserve bank, I don't want to fucking hear it... because in reality you don't know shit either).

For those of us who thought CARNIVORE was insane....

I just saw the source linked story below on DIGG and thought it was worth re-posting here.

For those who don't know what CARNIVORE is, you can follow this link.

Apparently the FBI's new surveillance system for telephony applications is pretty robust and actually works as simply as "point and click."

I think this is what scares people about the blanket wiretap issue. I mean hell, say they did need a warrant... who's to stop a "bad agent" from eavesdropping on people for personal reasons?

Unfortunately we already know that humans are easily corrupted by power, and quite frankly, I just don't trust anyone in a position of power to "police" themselves properly in this manner.

If all you are going to do is be shitty...

...then maybe you should keep your comments and opinions to yourself. Fucking loser.

The article linked below under "source" is pretty neat. It's about our new found ability as a human race to store power in paper. Yes you heard me right.

Here is an excerpt from the scientist working FOR the technology:

Professor Robert Linhardt, of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, said the paper battery was a glimpse into the future of power storage.

"If we stack 500 sheets together in a ream, that's 500 times the voltage. If we rip the paper in half we cut power by 50%. So we can control the power and voltage issue."

Awesome!! I'm all about that! I was totally excited about this until the reporter writing the article decided to interview some other retard scientist who really seems to be more interested in telling people how this won't change the world than how exciting of a discovery this is:

But Professor Daniel Sperling at University of California, Davis, an expert on alternative power sources for transport, is unconvinced.

"Batteries and capacitors are being steadily improved, but electricity storage is much more difficult and expensive than liquid fuels and probably will be so forever," he said.

"The world is not going to change as a result of this new invention any time soon."

Well thanks alot you fucking pouty bitch. How about you keep your opinions to yourself, or other assholes that want to hear them.

Check the source link below for an AWESOME article about how to protect yourself from "bullshit" and making bad or uninformed decisions based on aforementioned bullshit.

Anyhow, all that aside, I thought the article was a tremendously good read. I'm the type of person that can take in a ton of tiny little bits of information, but I suck when it comes to sitting down with a book on one subject. I have to have the rotation of topics, or variety if you will, to keep me interested in my current task.

I think some people call it ADD or ADHD or being a victim of lax parenting techniques (I mean really, lets be honest here). The point is, this article had enough variety to keep me entertained all the way through it.

China as a superpower...

I guess the scariest part about China being an emerging super power isn't the human rights violations, or their lack of interest in the general welfare of their people.... no... its the things they do that affect everyone, even those of us who aren't part of or even close to China....

Check out the source link below for some pictures that were posted on Digg earlier today. They show the very scary, staggering problems that China is facing as a result of their previously extremely lax environmental policies.

The first picture in the series shows a cloud of smog, visible from satellite, over China.... its origins thought to be rooted in the fact that China still relies heavily on coal as a source of energy and heat (China has one of if not the largest coal reserve in the world currently).

Now how do you like dem apples? Check the source link below for the Digg post which leads to some scandal rag article I'm almost positive...

Noteworthy News...

It's been quite some time since I've posted links to news articles that I found interesting, so I suppose that it just might be time to give it another go 'round... and that brings us here:

Well enjoy fuckers... educate yourself or something... I mean hell, can you even imagine going another single day in this world without knowing what "cheese heroin" is? I personally would rather vomit in a used toilet and have it bounce back on a freshly laundered shirt... oh wait... been there done that... except the toilet wasn't used, and the shirt wasn't freshly laundered...

What it means to be sexy...

I thought the linked story from CNN was fairly interesting. It discusses our societies ever increasing view that naked & raunchy = sexy.

I must admit, I like my naked no holds barred raunchy action, but only in doses. At a point, I begin to discount the person and throw them in the "slut" or "whore" pile in my head.

I guess the worst part about it is that I never tell the person they have arrived at this "pile" and they usually keep acting that way. Makes me wonder how many other similar situations like this there are going on out there...

Check out the story...

Talk about dirty...

If you follow the source link below, you will find that it links to a story about the state of affairs in India with specific regard to the pollution plaguing their rivers.

In this article, they talk about the immense amount of pollution in the rivers, how the rivers are technically not safe to swim in, and how they have spent countless dollars and man-hours on very expensive sewage treatment plants, yet lack the sewer infrastructure to actually transport the waste to the treatment facilities.... what a joke...

In one part of the article, it is mentioned:

The Centre for Science and Environment says that nearly 80 percent of the river's pollution is the result of raw sewage. Combined with industrial runoff, that comes to more than three billion liters of waste per day, a quantity well beyond the river's assimilative capacity. The frothy mix is so glaring it can be viewed on Google Earth.

I took the liberty of obtaining a nice little screen capture of this "frothy mix" in Google Earth. You can see it below, I'm guessing they are talking about the "white/grey" masses at each bend in the river... basically the locations where running water would most likely create a "churning" effect... something tells me this isn't going to be like home-made butter from the farm:

Another excerpt from the story that made me laugh:

Sheila Dikshit, New Delhi's chief minister, says the government simply followed the recommendations of outside consultants who encouraged the building of expensive sewage-treatment plants but didn't anticipate the surge in migration of rural poor to New Delhi. "We're tired and frustrated from spending money," she says.

Oh, you're tired and frustrated from spending money? What in the fuck does that mean? I honestly wouldn't expect to hear a line like that unless it came out of the mouth of Paris Hilton or Britney Spears.

Fuck you, who in the fuck cares if you are tired. Your people are slowly dying, you have no serious plan to remedy this situation and in the long run you are only going to serve as a disease breeding ground which will in turn effect everyone else on this planet... ESPECIALLY THE UNITED STATES.

Goddamn it India, get your fucking shit in order (literally) and if you have money to spend on nukes, then you fucking have money to spend on water treatment. Fuckers...

This really isn't very good at all...

My mom sent me this article and I thought it a bit wild.

If you read the article, it talks about problems with bees and pollination of genetically engineered species of plants, grown for human consumption.

I won't go off on some crazy tangent like I have been lately, but this is not good news. If bees can tell the difference between a plant produced by mother nature and a plant produced by mankind, we are quickly approaching a world of shit.
